ederna will present its latest development at Alg'n'Chem international scientific conference on November 10th 2011

10/28/2011

Algae have long been exploited in areas such as nutrition (human and animal), pharmaceuticals and cosmetics, especially in France because of its extensive coastline. Currently, ambitious projects are being prepared to develop and increase the value of algae because they have significant potential to address the problems of depletion of fossil resources, and the environmental challenges of the world.

The objective of Alg'n'Chem conference is to establish the state of the art for the valuation of algae, to detect the latest scientific, technical and technological breakthroughs, and identify new opportunities. It will focus on products, and chemical and biological processes associated with the transformation of algae, and foster discussions on these topics.

ederna will have the pleasure to present one of its latest development dealing with the valorization of Phycocyanin, a protein extracted from Spirulina, a blue microalgae.
